7月19日-26日，杨国文研究员参加了在印度尼西亚万隆举行的ISFC 2016（The 43^rd International Systemic Functional Congress）, 会议主题是Learning Language, Learning through Language, Leaning about Language: Glocalising Systemic Functional Linguistics. 杨国文研究员在会议上宣读了论文Hypotactic elaboration in Chinese，受到与会学者好评。
        论文提要如下：
        As one of the important ways of realizing clause expansion, hypotactic elaboration in Chinese manifests both general and special characteristics. This paper presents a tentative discussion about hypotactic elaboration of clause complexes in Chinese. Some differences between English and Chinese in the grammatical realization of hypotactic elaboration are indicated. The study shows that the differences are mainly resulted from the lack of relative pronouns, the tendency to use the de 的 clause as pre-modifier of a noun, and the length restriction on the pre-modifier in Chinese. Two special elaboration forms are also discussed.
